Listed in our order of favourite restaurants by a vote from all the
gang at Islandive.
We have deliberately left off several restaurants from this list
either because we think they are too expensive
or the service is not always up to scratch..
Any of the following
restaurants would be the choice of our staff,
I always think if you want to know were to eat in a new town
A simply superb seafood restaurant that has won several
awards for excellence, often now quite busy so book a table in
advance. Get the coral trout or the red emperor. Caught locally the
owner, who is a chef and a fanatical fisherman. Also houses the best rum bar in the world!!
,
The most popular time to see Islandive
staff is on a Wednesday for the $15 roast, after the local Twilight races. A popular night with many
town locals turning up as frequent diners. Non members are always welcome.
Great steaks at reasonable price, nice views over
the lagoon. Steak burgers are recommended.
Great for wood fired pizzas. Share a
large pizza for two, great value. Local seafood pizza is the go.
The best Mexican restaurant in town with an awesome
waterfront location. Giant margaritas a must after a long hot day on the water.
,
Friendly Japanese restaurant with a novel sushi boat
delivery system.
A great local steak house that serves Kangaroo and salt water
crocodile. Try the combo.. Local musicans entertain nearly every night!
The crew from Islandive are often seen dining
here with passengers from our tours.
A little up there in price, but awesome quality and lots of
awards. For Birthdays and special occasions. Great lunch menu and the only place in town for tapas.
Our favourite for romantics on the foreshore at Cannonvale. Expensive, but it is a 6 course meal. Must have a booking.
