Hamish & Adam are the two talented kiwis who won the Van-Tastic competition.  

They embarked on the ultimate Queensland road trip to experience 6 weeks of action-packed adventures and to have as much fun as humanly possible! 

Keith who is a representative of Backpackers Queensland met the two nomads when they were speaking at a Backpackers meeting in Airlie Beach.  This led to the guys rocking up the following morning in their Drive it, Film it ,Win it, Van-Tastic Van to hook up with our Islandive crew and join in a madhouse afternoon of paintballing which followed up with a typical crazy night in town at some local hot spots, Beaches, Paddys and Mama Africas.  

Guys being guys somehow the following morning missed their opportunity to go out on an organised trip.  This left them stranded on their tight jam packed 6 week schedule.  We offered them a spot on Powerplay which departed later that day and they headed off for two nights, two days of Islandive adventure.  There they chose 4 dives each, diving with hundreds of colourful fish, turtles, sharks, stingrays, saw whales and a massive manta ray and at night relaxed in the spa onboard Powerplay and chilled out under the sunset amongst Swedish backpackers…

When their 6 week tour was up Keith & Mike asked them back to video our latest project and they set off with the crew for another two days of awesome fun. 

These guys create laughter wherever they go. Their kiwi lingo and their ability to make fun of themselves cemented good friendships with our crew in the short time they were with us.  Bunking down at the crew’s homes, hanging out with them and seeing the Whitsundays and Airlie Beach by land, water and air.  Shooting a video from a birds eye view with Mike in a helicopter while overlooking Emperors Wings anchored out on the outer reef, and heading out with Keith and some of the Islandive team doing a crazy video shoot of one of our typical Islandive tours…

Hamish and Adam left the Islandive team to fly out to Thailand to continue their  quest for a world wide adventure.
